If three or more Cleveland Heights mayoral candidates file qualifying petitions with the Board of Elections by the June 16, 4 p.m., filing deadline, they will face off in a primary election on Sept. 14, with the top two vote-getters earning a spot on the Nov. 2 ballot.

Future Heights Annual Meeting

On June 9, FutureHeights will present its 2021 annual meeting on the outdoor patio of Boss Dog Brewing Company, 2179 Lee Road. The program will also be livestreamed for remote viewing.

FutureHeights, a nonprofit community development corporation, strives to engage Heights residents in order to ensure a vibrant and sustainable future for Cleveland Heights and University Heights.

This year’s meeting will focus on the unique neighborhoods in the Heights and the city’s 100-year history. FutureHeights will also report on its activities and accomplishments, as well as its vision for the future.

The event, which begins at 7 p.m., is free and open to the public, but reservations are required.

Silent Ride - Heights Bike Coalition

Join cyclists around the country as we participate in the Ride of Silence. The Ride of Silence has taken place on the third Wednesday of May for the last 19 years. It honors the cyclists who have been injured or killed in accidents with motorists. This ride raises awareness and asks that we all share the roads. This year the Ride of Silence will occur across the Nation on May 19th, at 7 PM. HBC members invite you to participate in one of the following ways: 1. Ride solo 2. Ride with household members, or 3. Join HBC members who will ride from John Carroll University in University Heights towards different locations in the Heights Area. Details of this ride will be updated on the HBC website communicated via social media.
