I am supporting Melody Hart for re-election because we need her thoughtful leadership and financial acumen to continue to serve this City and its residents as we navigate our way through this new form of Mayor/Council government. Upon becoming Council President, Melody took on the difficult job of having to establish a good working relationship with a new Mayor while leading a Council with a majority of new and inexperienced members. We need only look at what is happening in Washington DC to be able to fully appreciate the job Melody has done in working with Mayor Seren and his administration, passing crucial legislation needed for development and the provision of City services, and ensuring that taxpayer dollars have been wisely spent within the City’s budget.
— Craig Cobb, Vice President, CH City Council
Melody Joy Hart does all the things a great City Council President does. She works with the mayor to support and complement his vision for the city. She works with fellow council members to find common ground to move the city forward. She builds bridges with officials in neighboring communities on matters of mutual interest and concern. Hart does all of this thoughtfully, with empathy, and mindful of all the challenges facing Cleveland Heights and the region. She is a great neighbor. I am happy to support Melody Joy Hart in her re-election to Cleveland Heights City Council.
— Michael Dylan Brennan, University Heights Mayor
So appreciative of the support Melody provided to the members of the Racial Justice Task Force for the past two years. Her concern and interest in maintaining racial justice and equity in our community is commendable!
— Rhonda Davis-Lovejoy, Chairperson, Racial Justice Task Force
We are voting to re-elect Melody Hart to City Council because our city needs her continued steady leadership, expertise on finances and housing and other key issues, and her unparalleled commitment to working collaboratively to get things done.
